Learning From My Betting Failures

1st to clarify the reason I wrote this essay. I have been wagering on the net or at land based betting houses for a great many years. I have learned, the dependency can take a hold of you and you won’t even notice it until you are penniless. Particularly if you’re on a winning streak. I’ve gone through countless tens of thousands of dollars in a very tiny amount of time and still on occasion, I will go a bit too far. It appears you are just having fun until you decide to be aware of your defeats and the guilt sets in, and then you continue to tell yourself "I can get it back" constantly. It never works. Then you become sick in your gut and the harder you attempt the faster you lose.

When you see that you’re ahead, remain on the UP! When you begin to be beaten, don’t tell yourself, "well just maybe just one more" and over and over again, trust me, this concept hardly ever works. Say you are playing on slots, have an amount set to the side before beginning your action. DO NOT go over that boundary, regardless how captivating. If you actually succeed, put that in a separate canister. Do not risk your successes no matter what. Once you’ve gone through your primary set limit, stop. Leave, whether it’s on the net or at a land based casino, don’t stay around. Always keep in mind, there will be another day, another time.

Remember, gambling should be FUN not backbreaking, sickening work! If you are not having fun yourself, you don’t belong there. If youcannot manage the loss, do not even start.
